Today we visited The Carter Observatory. 
At school we are learning about Day and Night so we went along to learn how that happens. 
We had so much fun and learnt lots about Space as well.

On Friday we went down to the bottom field to practice 
for our school Cross Country.
Here we are running around the bottom field. 
Some of Mrs Powell's big kids ran with us too.

We went on a bus to Tawa Pool for our Rata Swimming 
Sports on Thursday.
We all participated in two events. One event was a fun one 
and the other was a skill we had learnt in our swimming lessons.

Term 2 has started off as a happy but a sad time!
It was sad that Mrs Powell had to day goodbye to all of the children that were in Rata Toru in Term 1. They are very lucky and have now moved into Rata 6 with Mrs Maddever. 

It is also a happy time because Mrs Powell gets to have 17 amazing new children in Rata Toru. Welcome to your new classroom!

We always look forward to our big buddies coming over to Rata at silent reading time to share books with us.
